Being an active food addict is self abuse. The more we continue to abuse ourselves, the less self-respect we have. By the time I hit my worse bottom, I had no self respect love and was full of self hatred. But honestly, if someone had told me that I had to learn self-worth to do recovery, I would never have gotten here.
Podcasts have become such a welcome distraction for me throughout the pandemic. The endless library of categories and entertaining hosts could fill a lifetime and then some.
When people give up sugar and grains, for some reason they think it should be easy. When it’s not, they think they’ve done something wrong. No one would ever think that about alcohol or drugs. Many people even go to 30 day treatment centres. Why? Because when you give up a drug like sugar, you can go through intense withdrawal. Food addiction is a disease.
